RESULTS grassroots activists and interim coordinator for the Leamington Spa group, Katherine Hughes, participated in the annual Warwich International Development Summit (WIDS) on Sunday November 21st 2010. The Summit, organised by students, was held at the University of Warwick.
There were a number of speakers on International Development issues including Elisha London from the Global Poverty Project, a RESULTS partner organisation. In her ’1.4 Billion Reasons’ presentation, Elisha spoke about the challenge of eliminating poverty and mentioned the advocacy work that RESULTS do, encouraging attendees to visit the RESULTS stand. There was a lot of interest among the audience and as a result many people signed up to become a part of RESULTS grassroots network. Continue reading
