RESULTS is looking to hire a Campaign Assistant for six months to join us as we prepare and deliver a major new national campaign which will be focused on the issue of tuberculosis in the gold mining industry in Southern Africa.
Assisting our Grassroots Campaigns Coordinator, the Campaigns Assistant will be working to ensure the campaign has wide reaching impact on success across the UK. They will develop campaign materials and help set strategic goals, they will work to engage RESULTS’ network of grassroots supporters, getting them into action and coordinating their activities. They will build strategic links with student campaigners, trade unions and parliamentarians to generate momentum for change.
Finally, they will lead on the organisation of a UK wide advocacy tour in March 2013, taking the call for change to cities all around the country.
With experience of grassroots campaigning on international development or human rights issues, they will be well organised with good project management skills, a good motivator and a people person. They must be an excellent communicator with a whole range of audiences. An understanding of global health issues is important, as is a sense of creativity and the ability to drive a campaign.
