TB Action Group (TBAG) members, advocates, colleagues and friends held a short demonstration during lunch time of the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, Thursday 5th July to ensure the voices of TB patients were heard by decision makers and TB programme implementers.
Despite being preventable and treatable every day one person will die from TB in the UK. No one should die from a treatable disease when we have the tools and resources to treat it. D
The demonstration also came on the day that the Health Protection Agency reported that the number of drug resistant cases of TB continues to rise with 431 reports in 2011, up from 342 in 2010.
